The new website won't feature a forum. Instead, a knowledge base & ticketing system are provided for support and Discord for general discussion -think of a cross between TeamSpeak and IRC.
The reason is mostly for support: we want customers that have an issue to browse through a specific developer-controlled library of fixes. If the problem isn't there, a ticket will resolve it and we will then list it for all to see.
The advantages are that you won't have to browse through semi-correct advice, ask something for the nth time or search for a needle in a haystack (forum). For us, less effort is spent monitoring the fora, can filter things to devs more efficiently and we have one less security headache (forum was burned to the ground by a worm this past summer).
We are still struggling with correcting the past site's wrongs, but are getting there.
