• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

It is people like Allen that make this community so great.

I assume that most of us have never met in person, but feel like we have friends around the world.

Well in Allens case we do........

Our friend and member John ( BloodHawk23) had a computer crash.
He was in need of the very old SP3 for Windows XP.... Many looked and tried to no avail.

Allen after many hours of looking decided to search the way back machine.

He found it, took the time to download it, burn it to a CD..Drive to the post office,
pay for second day shipping literally from one side of the US to the other side of the US.

For the time and effort, not to mention the money................

I salute you Sir, My hat is off to you.

Any word from John?

I'm not done yet. Leaning how to use DOSbox so those users that have Win7 or newer can use MDLC to convert airplane (or ship) back to CFS2. Writing the guide now. Will be needing testers with Windows 7 or newer to try it out soon.

He called me after he received my snail mail, but stupid me did not remember
to ask for his return phone number, so we wait. I am sure that people that far
up in the country do not drive to check the PO Box daily.

Just like to say thank you to Allen for all his efforts her at the OH. His work is great, but he goes above and beyond to help others. Great example for us all.
