Shopping for a good aircraft or little known aircraft I came over this list of 50's aircraft.

http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/aircraft-1950-1959.asp

Nice little list many of them have been done for flight simulator but most don't qualify because they are Mach 1.014990 (who comes up with that number?) or greater.

Please entertain increasing the Mach limit to Mach 1.20 :applause:

This opens up some more models that really can't fly over Mach 1 anyway but the FM is written so that over Mach 1 is possible in a dive.

For instance the Simshed Folland Gnat has a max mach number of 1.014990 but can only achieve 0.88 mach in level flight. Speed measured at 3500' and 20000'

McDonnell F3H Demon has a max mach number of 1.0 but can only achieve .845 Mach @ 3500', .825 @ 15000' and .80 @ 20,000'

I found some others on that list but they are Ito san's models and do not have a mach number in the cfg at all which makes it impossible to test.

If I find some more marginal possibilities I will post them here.

that's a very cool link, Dave
I've spent a fair amount of time
trying to find just the right plane to suit my needs.
.....still looking.

just to be fair,
bpfowler also posted that link in the
...50s Jet Challenge thread.
