Thanks for the HU, Mike. I've got that one, too. I guess the reason I'm pulling for a repaint like my screenshot is kind of selfish. When I was stationed at Hunter AAF in '81, I had the misfortune
, or so I thought at the time, of being picked to be part of the ceremonial guard around the VIP stands at the field's airshow. It was hot, and I could hear all these aircraft performing, but could not look. It was murder, I tell you
. But after we were dismissed from our guard duty at the show's conclusion, we were detailed out to help the various aircrew prepare to depart (picking up cones, trash, etc....), and I was in hog-heaven.:d Luck would have it that the FL ANG Major that "adopted" me had walked past me during my torture session, as I stood at parade rest, as the Blue Angels performed...... directly behind me
..., and took the time to show me around his 106, and even let me sit in the cockpit for a few minutes.
It was awesome, and his takeoff was the only time I ever saw a 106 fly.
He did a low pass before he departed, and I was left standing on the tarmac with my mouth wide open.:isadizzy: Ahhhh, the memories.....:ernae::ernae:
