Alphasim C-130s....was there ever an update?

Okay...the freeware Alphasim C-130s....the bottoms of the horizontal tail surfaces are not texture mapped. Was there ever an update/fix for that issue....or am I the first person to notice that issue? I have been wanting to do some paints for the planes....but the lack of texture mapping to the lower stabilizers and elevators kind of kills the project for me.

OBIO, never paid attention to this. Haven't had the models installed in sometime, but the texture packs seem to have all the lower sections the same colors as the base undersides. On a very few screens it appears as tho' they have engine exhaust stains on them, so they have to have some kind of texturing, I would think.

I do not know if a paintkit was ever released.

Tim,

never even downloaded this as by the time it was free I already invested my bucks in the Captain Sim Hercy. I'm guessing there may be a trend with this, hence lack of replies?

What modelr says may be true, maybe it contains multiple models, some are affected, some not? No idea.

PS. Tim, did you get the bats?

There are 4 or 5 models in the two Alpha C-130 packs. The following models have the stabs textured on the bottom:

C1
CMk3
USCG
HC

The E model (pack 1, the plain Model folder) does not have the lower stabs mapped. I guess I could do my paints on the USCG or Cmk3 models....doesn't matter since I just want to do a couple of fictional civie skins.....one for my virtual cargo line and one for my fictional aircraft restoration company.

I did in deed get the bats. Have them saved on all three of my HDs for safe keeping. Won't be able to do anything with them until my sis-in-law lets go of my XP based laptop.....unless I go over an swipe her entire XP based desk top system...which I built for her using most of the guts from my old system...she doesn't like it because the high velocity fan I put on the CPU is too noisy.

Tim,

Have you looked at the SimShed model? The one I'm using has the basic "E" model shape and a pretty nice vc.
