Alphasim freeware B-24D

Been tinkering with the freeware Alphasim B-24D (which just happens to be my favorite heavy bomber of all time). Got a new paint close to being done. This one is an OD over light gray (not sure of the exact colors as the profile pic I am working off of is not all that great)...something about an OD Lib that just makes my heart melt. 1943, Aleutian Islands, 17th or 19th Air Force...like I said, the profile image is pretty dismal. I need to get the rondels on the fuselage sized, positioned and then get them onto the deflector dohickies and hopefully get them to line up nicely. Also need to tweak the rondels on the wings. Upper left, lower right....not lower left and upper right.

Also looking at the 2D and VC panel....looks like I might need to spend some time tweaking those as well. Definitely going to do some work on the pop up windows....a full function engine and fuel management panel, a better GPS window, maybe even a CD player for those long trips. And a bomb site would make a nice addition as well.

It's been a while since I have done any painting on the Lib...have a lot of profiles on hand to work with. Then maybe a few for the J model...even though that nose turret messes up a fine looking aircraft.

Does anyone happen to know of a replacement prop blur for this bird? Or a suitable 3 blade prop? Well, I suppose I could mozie over to Screenshot world and see if I can find BananaBob's prop library.

Hey Obio,

There is an alternative set of prop textures for AlphaSim's FSX B-24 Liberator on Avsim. Maybe they will work. Filename is b24_liberator_prop_v2.zip.

Tim,
you might like to try one of kelticheart's files from here -

AlphaSim_B24_propexh_KH.zip

though I have no idea how well CFS2 files like this work in FS9. Sorry to say I don't think Bob did one for this aircraft, otherwise I'm certain I would have had it on file,
hth,
Ro
