Just went to Alphasim. They have set up a dedicated file share with all of their freeware for the last 10 years according to them. Looks like only "new" item is the Al Taqaddum scenery in Iraq. Everything else looks like it has been released before. Good news is that they say they released all freeware with original panels and in some cases, sound.

The Whitely is available again though, before the link was broken :)

Alot of the "Oldies", and I mean OLDIES are listed there. Chris Lampaird's "Seafire 47" is listed, compleat with it's original panel config. I flew that plane for the longest time with a panel I robbed from another Spitfire, in both CFS2 and FS02.
The Vickers Valiant B2 was also listed.. another mainstay in my FS02 hangars, back in the day. Geezz.. it's like having one's life flash before them...:pop4:

Thanks for the HU!! I didn't see they had released the Pensacola and CVN-69 scenery as freeware until you posted this.

I am so HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY over this....now I have the Alpha F-4s (the old ones at least) with their original VC panels intact. And the F-8s. Saves me so much time trying to adjust gauges to the proper places. Now all I have to do is put my effects tweaks in place and I can FLY two of my favorite jets from the VC view.

Not knowing if you're aware of this part.

HUGE PICTURE!!!

From the included read-me;

These files are all freeware. There is no restriction at all on their use.

They are the oldest files we have, going back 5-10 years. Most if not all will work in CFS1 and probably in CFS2 and FS2002. In CFS2 they make good mission target aircraft (AI), you can throw many of them on screen with no FPS drop. You might be able to get them into FS2004 with the right aircraft.cfg headers etc.

All have panels and gauges, so these may be of some use to developers.

Scenery designers may be able to use them as static library object, most are very low poly, just a few hundred faces in some cases, ideal for populating airfields.

Now is this Alphasim A-10 the same one OBIO was working on? And does this 'revamped' warthog have a VC with working gauges?
I'm definitely gonna have to check this out...thanks for the h/u.

This is the A-10 Thunderbolt II that I have been tinkering around with...and yes, it has the full panel in place.

thumbing through those titles is a real timewarp. There's the Gypsy Moth I used to fly in FS98, and CFS2....wow...

wow, some of the first ever payware i ever bought is in that list, just reinstalled the CF100 Canuck for old time sake, still a good looking bird. should be flown more often
cheers ian

I distinctly remember an ALPHA A4-M Skyhawk. I believe it was for CFS2 and maybe FS02. I had purchased the CFS2 variant for my "Vietnam Campaign" install of CFS2 and had flown it numerous times. The model came with a very impressive array of weapons loadouts.

I didn't see the A4-M on the freeware pages over at the AlphaSim Website and was just wondering if anyone had any idea of what happened to that plane?

Blackbird

I noticed that there are a few of the older releases missing on the new freeware list. The A-4M, A-4F Aggressor, B-17F.

I have the A-4F Aggressor and A-4M if you want them...complete with weapons package.
