Alphasim He-162 Model and VC Panel tweak package

I am about to upload a small package of tweaks for the freeware Alphasim He-162 Salamander. The first tweak was to the model file...I used Martin Wright's MDLmat to give the plane some specular shine...not too much...just enough to really give this plane some visual punch. The second tweak is a revised VC panel section that places all the gauges on the VC panel in working order...and a modified VC panel texture....no more painted on, non-functioning gauges in the VC.

This package can be used in CFS2, FS2002 and FS2004. Uploaded to the CFS2 Other section of the library.

I have one skin almost done....developing the paint as I put the paint template together. The "shield" on the fuselage sides is not correct to this paint....I don't have the right one. The right shield is a shield with angled corners, with 3 diagnal stripes of Red, White and Red again, with a black Boar's head, or Wolf's head in the center.

Have some tweaking to do to the panel lines a bit...but no much. Then will begin slinging paint like crazy. One of the fellas in the FS9 forum shot me a PDF version of a Profile book on the Salamander. Will put it to use as I do up skins for this neat little jet.

Will also be doing additional MDL tweaking....will rework the canopy glass to make it shinier and a bit more visible and will do a reduced shine MDL as an option for those who like a less shiny plane...a low level military gloss..about 20% less than what the first tweaked mdl has on it.

I have 3 skins done, and a fourth about 1/2 done. The next few days will be busy days with doctor appointments and such...nothing major, just follow up visits with Deb's docs and a follow up MRI to make sure that the brain tumor is fully gone and that none was left behind to begin regrowing...so, painting will be a bit slower this week, but I will get a few more skins done for sure.

I have a number or profiles that show one wing and the engine in one color and the other wing in another color. The way the plane is mapped, I will not be able to do these skins as they should be, but I can get them close enough to work on this neat little cartoon airplane.
