Alphasim MiG-23 Flogger - Yago repaint

Apologize for the double-post from the FSX forum, but realized that was a greater chance that I might find this amongst the FS9 folks than the FSX folks. I remember thoroughly enjoying this model in FS9, and still works nicely in "the other sim". Here's a shot I found (not mine, obviously)

Looking to see if anyone has the repaint he did (and I doubt there was more than one) of the Alphasim MiG-23. That help would be much appreciated. PM me and I'll advise my email address.

Many, many thanks.

PS: Yago's repaint for the Iris MiG-29 Fulcrum, also available here, is just fantastic as well. "Banned" status notwithstanding, I'm grateful for his work.

Best,

DL

The russian repaint must be available in the download area. Here is my Favourite one. The GAF repaint. Unfortunatly this is also not correct. The crosses at the wing not correct. I have added the squadronmarking at the tail also. This is a first screenie from version. Unfortunatly I have lost 3 reworked others after a HDD crash. (BTW thx to Paul and Peter)

I just realised that I have the IRIS MiG-23/27... not the ALPHA model. But Yago did several for the IRIS model too.

Where might that be found? I have his photoreal Flanker and it's a winner, love to see his work on the MiG29.

Here you go:

Note, this is the Soviet scheme, not the GAF paint to which Quax was referring. I have that GAF scheme (someone kindly sent that to me a few years back, maybe BB686 - can't recall), but it's not here on SOH. I can send you that when I get home, or Quax can send you his - I believe mine does not have the fixes.

I'm hoping somene has the AS Mig-23 repaint ... failing that, I'd love to get anything Yago did for the Iris -27 ... I didn't know he had repainted the -27.

thanks,

dl

Many thanks, DL!

Knowing I would not again in my lifetime find that page, I have gone on a download binge, and put the lot in a "yago9" folder for leisurely perusal!

@ hawkeye52.. I'm not sure what you exactly mean.. sry... But go to "Warbird's Archive" and search for Yago9 You'll find the russian Mig there... also a lot more of his work. btw, the link works on my machine...

Thanks for your help, Quax D. It is working by following your instructions, however when I search for Yago9, this is what comes up:

CFC Archive
Add-Ons by yago9
Search CFC Archive for Add-Ons by yago9 - click here

Sorted by date, newest first
(0 files found)

If I click on the center line["Search CFC...."] it does take me to Yago's work. The link in DL's posting takes you to the blank page "(0 files found)". Could this be a broken link in the SOH search function? Anyway, you led me to Yago; thank you!:salute:

The "Search CFC...." did not show in the posting, but if you follow Quax D's instructions, you'll see it.

It may have to do with some busted links after the SOH library crashed a year or so back. Some files are also missing, even though they appear - but most have been recovered. So far, out of what's listed, everything of Yago's I got was available - though I'm picking - only grabbed a couple of items I was after.

Here's how I do it:

1) Warbirds->Warbirds archive
2) Drop down box - "choose author's name" -pick authour (Yago9) - don't have to scroll ad naseaum - you can type "Y" - and you'll go to the first (and in this case, Yago's) Y name
3) Optional - I like to select 100 items per page - I loathe scrolling through pages
3) Scroll away until you find what you need. If you're either lazy or in a hurry (I'm usually a bit of both), you can hit CTRL+F - and type in what you're looking for - "Iris", etc. the words on the page that are highlighted will then be what you're after.

Should be rolling in mere seconds - hope this helps...

I have been thinking on buying the Alphasim MiG-23 for a long time. I think it looks very good even if it's an older addon.

I never was able to have a good look on the VC, which is the point that will make the decision. Even though it's an inconvenience, anyone can post some screenshots of the VC? I'll be very grateful. :)

If nobody else picks this up I'll do it for you when I get home from work.

Not for certain, but I thought that when Yago9 left the SOH, he took all of his work with him. I'm headed to the archive right now to see if I can pull these up. BRB...

Edit: YEP... it still works and all of the repaints are still there and downloadable.

Thank you very much! It helps to get a better idea of the look of it. I see there are some little details missing, but the cockpit looks good.

Thank you again for taking the trouble to make these screenshots! :)
