Enough of this...

Im posting because i have problem with my favourite FS plane: TU-22 Blinder.
(I'm using FSX with Acceleration)

1. After I get up in the sky my throttle get locked on 100% and im unable to move it down, I can only
press and Hold F1 then It goes down back, what should i do? Do i need to fix some config files im not good with that.

2. Im looking for Russian Scenary payware and early Cold War era Soviet warbirds any suggestions with these, i
was unable to find some good Soviet/Russian warbirds.

Thank you everyone in advance.

sinanziric, got the fix for you.

Go to Flightsim.com and download this file: AB_F16_.ZIP(find it using the File name search). From this download file, take the folder named KO_F16_FX and move it to your FSX gauges folder.

Make the following edits to your TU-22 panel config file:

[Vcockpit02]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=32,32
visible=0
pixel_size=32,32
texture=$Fake

gauge00=ALPHA_Blinder!Tu22_contrail, 1,1,1,1
gauge01=ALPHA_Blinder!Tu22_Flap_Cond, 0,0,20,20
gauge02=ALPHA_Blinder!Tu22_Jetsmoke, 0,0,20,20
gauge03=ALPHA_Blinder!Tu22_Jetsmoke-Low, 0,0,20,20
gauge04=ALPHA_Blinder!Tu22_burner_logo, 0,0,20,20
//gauge05=ALPHA_Blinder!autotoggle_AB_100, 0,0,20,20 //<-----------

[Vcockpit03]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=32,32
visible=0
pixel_size=32,32
texture=$exhaust

gauge00=KO_F16_FX!F16_AB_THROGGLE, 0,0,1,1

------------------------------------------------------------------

Make sure the following edits match or are added to you TU-22 aircraft config file:

light.4 = 9, -46.00, -2.82, 4.77, fx_ALPHA_TU22_AB
light.5 = 9, -61.55, -2.82, 4.77, fx_Alpha_Tu22_AB_light
light.6 = 9, -46.00, 2.82, 4.77, fx_ALPHA_TU22_AB
light.7 = 9, -61.55, 2.82, 4.77, fx_Alpha_Tu22_AB_light

[TurbineEngineData]
fuel_flow_gain=0.004
inlet_area=7.500
rated_N2_rpm=11000.000
static_thrust=36376.000
afterburner_available=1
afterburner_throttle_threshold = 0.90
reverser_available=0.000
ThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 0.7
AfterBurnThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 0.7

That's it, all should run good now. FYI, this edit can cure the same issue with several other Alphasim models and other models in FSX. Let me know how it does for you.

Thank You Very Much StormILM, I will try it as soon as i get home, im at work atm.
Well as i said Tu-22 is my favourite, i hope it will work :jump: :jump: :jump: :wiggle:

You are most welcome!

I also like the Tu-22 Blinder. One of the most unique aircraft ever built. I bought the Alphasim model the day it was released and used only the FS9 version until I got FSX. When I reinstalled the FSX version I noticed the same problem and stopped flying it for some time until I learned the problem was an easy fix. This reminds me, I need to fly the Blinder again soon!

Just to confirm, everything works fine! Thank you once again.
By the way, did you received any kind of manual when you purchased Tu-22
cause i don't remember any... nice guide would be nice for this "crazy" plane :wiggle:

See you around.

Glad the fix worked fine!

As I remember, there was no manual with either the FS9 or FSX versions of this model but the systems are simple(in the model) to help facilitate fairly easy FS use/flights. The flight model sure is tough! One of my books on the TU-22 talks all about how difficult this plane was to fly. I did a minor airfile update to iron out the aerodynamic forces on the control inputs giving a feel more like normal "hydraulic boosted" control moments which I tried to base on actual pilot accounts.
