Alt key

I'm flying along and bring up the menu bar across the top of the window with the Alt key, but when I'm done I can't hide it once more with with the Alt key like in FS9. According to what I've found in settings and online, it should work like FS9. What to do?

Just hold it down for about a second and the top menu will disappear.

Are you just hitting it once? I have to hold down alt for a sec or two and it will disappear.

Jeez! That simple. Whoda thunk. Thanx, fellars. I wanted to fly the old Frontier Airline flights from FS9 against the same routes in FSX. I've driven over a lot of that western part of the US and spent a lot of time working on those old Gooney Birds when I was in the USAF.
