San Antonio De Los Banos. by Ian Elliot 24/7/13

Cuban airforce base just south of Havana

basic but with enough objects to create the right atmosphere

all objects used are from "classic_libraries_v2.zip" by Wolfgang Gersch

For the traffic, im using Yan Tao's wonderful Mig19 with a Cuban repaint by Frank Safranek

look for "mig19_v1.zip" and "mg19cuba.zip" for the repaint, both at Flightsim.com

the Mig 19 is not a dedicated ai aircraft but is low-poly enough to work, but maybe some will
have problems, Mike Pearson has a Cuban Mig 21 in his recent ai mig collection that'll work
just fine but ive always had a soft spot for Yan's 19.

cheers ian

Las casas in Cuba lol

Superb scenery Ian :applause::applause::applause: thanks a bunch used to work for UNHCR and as we had a camp for haitians in Cuba spent some memorable times in Cuba err ok maybe not on airbases but with Cubans lol :icon_lol:. A quick question when I fired up the sim I noticed at least in my sim alot of houses inside the base perimeter etc to my knowledge I have no installed Cuban addons nada at all so to speak so was wondering is there a way to in EzScenery or otherwise apply some form of exclusion or how would I go about erasing the houses.

Again mny thanks for a superb piece of scenery

Gracias

Hi AkktuStakki04, glad you like the scenery,

i should have recomended setting the autogen slider to sparce or normal, FS9 has placed a lot of objects around the area, a quick look at Google earth will show the area's quite empty, but i wanted some objects, trees and smaller house's to remain for atmosphere, so i excluded most of the multistoried buildings but left the rest and compensated with the autogen slider, feel free to open up the ADE9-bgl with Airport Design Editor9 and add more exclude's, hope this helps,
Cubas a great place to fly, chees ian

Hi Ian,

Thank you very much! This is a great scenery, like the other ones you have done. They fit so nicely into the 1950s/1960s flightsim world on my hard disc. True craftmanship.:applause::applause::applause:

Cheers,
