Am getting my siamese cat back, this weekend.....

About six months ago, I gave my beloved seal point siamese cat - back to the breeder we got him from; because he was causing too much problems for several of our other cats.

But the situation has changed since then. My wife and I will soon be divorced, and most of the cats went with her; except for 4 that are staying with me.

Twist gets along with the remaining cats, so I am going to bring him back home this Saturday! I am looking forward to getting the little boy back here!

He's quite a character.........

we used to a siamese cat round where we used to live in town, used to sit on the windowsill and tap the window, sent the dogs balistic! :icon_lol:

Sorry to hear you have to endure a divorce to get your cat back (sot of sounds like a country/western song). Nice pictures. He's got a pair of flaps on him, eh ?

Sorry to hear about the divorce, but Welcome Home Twist!

I know how heart-rending it must be to return a pet you've come to love. I came "this close" to having to return Rowdy (the "baby tomcat" in my signature banner) after a few months because he was making life miserable for Scamper. I was almost in tears over it, and several times I picked up the phone and couldn't place the call.

Finally, the evening I'd steeled myself to go through with it, I noticed that Rowdy didn't seem to be pestering Scamper, and Scamper seemed a bit more relaxed. I waited a couple days and my perceptions were confirmed. Then I noticed Rowdy limping a bit...

The cause turned out to be an infection from a deep bite wound suffered right around the time The Boys started getting along. It seems that Scamper took young Rowdy aside for a little conversation about how to behave towards one's elders. It cost me several hundred dollars to get Rowdy out of the hospital, but The Boys have been great friends ever since!

We wish you and Twist many happy years together.

Nice lookin' fella, Chief! I don't think green is his color. Cat bites can be very bad folks, I just got over one, be careful.

Just hom many cats did you have??? And I have to agree that what you did to poor Twist is a crime! Cats in people clothes just ain't right!!!

They say that Saimese cats are very much a "people" cat but that they are very vocal. My daughter loves Siamese cats, she's had two when she was a kid. And I have to admit that Twist has some fine "points' on him.

Ok, I need to clarify something. I did NOT take these pictures! My ex-wife did, along with pictures of my Rottweiler, "Chief". I would never have humiliated my dog, or Twist by putting the clothes on them! But you gotta admit they are good pictures! In fact, my ex won a Petsmart photo nationwide contest a couple years ago. With the return of "Twist", I will have 5 cats, plus "Chief". My ex has, I think, 22 cats living with her in a mobile home now. Better her than me. Try to imagine just the financial cost, and you will understand what I have been dealing with for the past 5 years........

This picture (also taken by my ex) is of my dog "Chief", and one of the cats I have, named "Robert Tail" (he's a bob tail, get it?)

Today I am in the process of "Twistproofing" my house. Twist has one really bad habit. He likes to chew speaker wires....... Bad kitty! So I am putting protective tubing over every wire exposed, so the little tyke can't destroy them.

The wife is out, and the cat is back in. Now, if that isn't a win-win situation, then I don't know what is.

Welcome home TWIST! He is surely a cutie!

Imagine we have 32 ducks, 23 horseys, i miscounted how many cats and dogs are in my apartment. Did I mention I have a fish and a turtle "Crash". Hannah plays with them, and are scattered on the floor, in her room. Goodness. She named all of them. She has a few more virtual pets she feeds everyday.

I got back home with Twist about an hour ago. Long day. Left for Fayetteville, TN this morning around 8 AM. Not a bad trip, but not fun going through Chattanooga because of road construction.

Twist is in good shape, except for possibly having ear mites. I put some Revolution medicine on him, which should take care of the mites (if he has them) plus fleas, if he has them too....

Am going to keep him in my bedroom, away from the other cats for a couple of days. No sense in him dealing with the "hierarchy" mess until I am sure he can't spread anything to the other cats.

It is so good to have him home. He recognized me right off. Within 10 minutes, he was in my lap, purring. So comforting.

Pets.

Don't worry about the number of pets. We have four rescue cats. Two Catalan sheep dogs. One Shi Tzu and four miniature poodles. We breed from the poodles and have a lovely litter of five 3 week old puppies and we are keeping one. We also have an African Grey Parrot, a Barnards Port Lincoln and a Cockatiel. Beat that.

Twist is a good looking Siamese.

We have 2 dogs, 2 ferrets, 3 birds, 3 fish tanks and 1 kitten...who just happens to be a bit mental!

I let Twist loose in the house. He immediately recognized/remembered all the cats, except one (a male named Buster), who was not here until after Twist had been gone. So far, no fights. Twist isn't too happy about Buster, but I'm hoping there isn't a problem. Twist, although smaller, is a feisty little bugger. If Buster jumps him, he'll have a wildcat on his hands (er, paws).

Later on, today:

I had done some laundry, and put my bedspread on one of my living room recliners to dry a bit. True to form, Twist found a warm place to lay down. Always does. And Robert Tail joined him.
