What I need should be a snap for anyone who can modify graphics.

You know the No Smoking symbol......the cigarette with a red circle around it, and a slash going across the cigarette?

What I am wanting to do is create a bumper sticker with the same red circle and slash, but have the outline of Florida in place of the cigarette......

I thought I would find one easy enough on a search, but no luck.

Oh I like Florida just fine! It's just some of the transplants who have moved up here who I have a problem with!!!!

Well, if you like Florida, then a bumper sticker with a map of Florida with a red circle and slash would send the wrong message. Such a bumper sticker would seem to convey the message that you had some sort of issue with the entire state itself, which is irrational. What you need is a photo of the person you don't like, and add a circle and slash to their likeness. Got a picture? Better yet, how about a sticker that simply says "I hate everyone from Florida." ?

I don't hate everyone from Florida. But where I live, A LOT of the locals would definitely be interested in the design I want made. I guess you'd have to live here to understand the situation...... Hard to explain.

Wouldn't happen to have anything to do with a September 19th whooping coming up for the Volunteer faithful, would it....? Down in the Swamp?? :mixedsmi:
 
Any sign shop should be able to crank that out in about 15 minutes or so. The map is already in a font that has all the states in it and the circle and slash can be made easily. They can either produce a vinyl sticky or print a bumper sticker for you.

I have heard that the SNOW BIRDS that have gotten tired of Florida( I am from Tampa-been in Florida 36 years-NAVY Air brought me to Florida-NAS Key West ) move to North Carolina and now they are called "Half Backs"!!LOL


Half way back to the North where they belong....

Yep, that's about it. A lot of the Snow Birds are originally from the North East, i.e. New Jersey, or New York, and have lived in FLA. for a while. They are moving to the Murphy, NC in large numbers. I don't know why, but a lot of them have real bad attitudes. Some days it gets to me.

Interesting, I didn't know there were more of those asshats moving back up from Florida. There's an older couple here that moved into town from down there and have been rubbing folks wrong. I haven't ran into them yet, but I've heard about them.
 
To give you an example, my wife used to work at Lowe's up in Murphy, NC, in the Outside Garden dept. A lady walked in one day, and handed my wife a long list of things she wanted, and said, "Ill be back in a few minutes to pick it all up." My wife handed the list back to her. And yes, she was from FLA. This happens a lot. I don't know where this attitude comes from, but I'm hearing the saying, "You're not from around here, are you? .............. a lot more now!"...............
