In 1979 I passed the UK Radio Amateurs Exam and obtained the call sign G8VLR. In 1998 I got Flightsim 98 and have been simming for the last 20 years, but recently, hooking up with an old ham radio friend, I've decided to ressurrect the Amateur radio hobby. I've bought a colinear antenna for 6m, 2m and 70cm , which I hope to get up on my chimney in the next few weeks. Eventually I will erect a G5RV aerial for the hf bands. Anyone else have the ham radio bug?
