• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Amazing Rememberances

I know the "Official" Rememberance Day is past, but I will be checking the following site for some time to come, - http://www.thememoryproject.com/home.aspx

This site just blew me away, these are actual live interviews with the people who were there, the full audio and a written transcript, the stories are first person from the men and women who were in action in WW2 and Korea. I am so glad to see this site and to be able to get the story from the source, these Vets are all to quickly disappearing and this is a wonderful project one I truly hope continues to thrive and grow.

I wonder if there are simular sites in other countries, it would be great if any of you know of some to share them, I know I would love to see more of these first person stories.

My eternal thanks to all those who chose to serve and protect our way of life and freedoms, you are all hero's to me!
