any iodea about a good book on the air war in the mediterranean?
thks a lot a nd good flight to u all!
Gianluca
PS: I know, talking about bombers, B 17´s and B 24´s as well as Havocs and B 25´s were used but not so sure to which units (9th air force?) they belonged...

Spit VIII was also used late on - oh, I wish! Fw190 also put in an appearance, but iirc got out again quick due to shrinking foothold. Not sure if the Yanks flew either of these!

After the US landing in North Africa a few Fw190 equipped units had been send to Tunisia by November 1942.
The plane remained present in the MTO for the rest of the war, naturally not in Africa though but in Italy and southern France.
