An exercise in anti-logic...

Hey guys,

Oil prices today soared despite a rise in gasoline inventories over Memorial Day weekend, meaning that people, myself included are being careful about how much they drive.

Economists and speculators are pushing prices higher, betting on an economic recovery.

BUT WON'T HIGHER FUEL PRICES RETARD ANY RECOVERY???

Especially if prices continue to rise at this rate?

Well, that's my two cents...:a1451:

Fuel prices in my area have been going up for a while now. My fill up two days ago saw $2.60 a gallon prices.

Anti-Logic? There is no logic behind corporate and political greed. Greed is what it is, and it flies in the face of logic.

I am shutting up now before I begin typing my manifesto against corporations and long-term political structure.

It's self fulfilling speculation. People expect the price of gas/oil to go up at the beginning of summer, so invest. This drives up the price of gas/oil at the beginning of summer. Instant profit.

Gas prices around my area have jumped $0.54 in less than three weeks!!!!

It was around $2.02 a gallon for regular. Paid $2.56 this afternoon.

I know...gas in Austria was about $5.50 US. We shouldn't complain. :monkies:

you guys should come over here ... you'd love it :kilroy:

Ha ha, what's the exchange rate at the moment Stiz? You guys in the US have no idea what we Europeans pay and you complain at $2.60 a gallon???:bump::bump:
