"Uncle" Ted Cook has just released a nice piece of English Aviation The Britten Sheriff -- Designed and Built by John Britten of Britten Norman fame -- in 1977 as a light twin tourer...Unfortunatly upon Mr Britten's death the project fell in disuse....the only Sheriff built is currently being restored at East Midlands Aeropark...Ted's model is a "what might have been" its real joy to fly -- I just ran over to Coventry in it and shot a real world weather ILS there.....really a fine piece of work....Its at the Pond (www.britsim.com) now

Really nice find. I was pleasantly surprised -- and pleased -- with the very throaty Lycoming O-320-D1A sound set.

John Britten and Desmond Norman.. two of UK's un-sung designers; whose best known project
is the last commercial aeroplane type still being wholly assembled in UK (imported in kit form from Romavia)

I'd really like to see the B-N-3 ; Nymph --> http://daveg4otu.tripod.com/iowweb/bnc.html
(the Trislander is BN-2A-3)

Ted Cook is one of life's gentleman, quietly releasing a succession of nicely modelled British rarities. :salute: This looks like another must have.

On the subject of Britten-Norman and "I'd like to see", it would be lovely to have the Islander range completed with a BN-2T Defender and, indeed, a Defender 4000.

What a sorry insight into modern Britain: the Britten Norman Islander "is the last commercial aeroplane type still being wholly assembled in UK (imported in kit form from Romania)". They'll be importing kit form Austin Cambridges from India and Morris Marinas from Iran next. If you didn't laugh you'd weep.
