...And the 2012 Indycar will be made by...

Interesting.

I'm not sure I like the looks - specifically the larger surface area of the middle clear back to the wheels - with those cone thingies.

Certainly looks modern and all that - even better if it's cheaper and allows for more competition and teams.

Eek - I'm not sure I like that Deltacar either.

Besides, you know you can't have aerodynamic grip. Those damn purists... Cars are supposed to be bricks with wheels, remember? :)

Dallara also designed and built the Hispania Racing F1 car which is by far the slowest car in the field and according to the team owners not in any way up to the standard of an F1 car..

Was kinda hoping the organizers had the guts to do something revolutionary and go with the Delta wing design: http://deltawingracing.com/

Shame it didn't happen.

I agree, I really liked the Deltawing. It's cool looking and it would set it apart from any other racing series out there. Although, I haven't really been into Indycar, except for the 500, since Tony George threw his hissy fit and went home to try and create open wheel NASCAR. Which was a shame, because CART was one of the best series in the nineties.
