I had a ticket to see him on Guam in 1994, and somehow managed to misplace it. Never found the ticket, and didn't get to see him perform. That was a very bad day.

There is a place in Houston called Sambuca Jazz Cafe that my wife and I went to a lot for dinner and live jazz. Great place,

Got to meet Billy Cobham around '86.
Went to see him at a drum clinic at a school.
My buddy and I found an open door at the place early and snuck in. Kept following the sound until we found ourselves standing backstage on the side of the stage while Billy was warming up and doing a sound check! Nobody said a word to us. We just acted like we belonged there and had a front row seat. :applause:
 
I first started listening to Billy Cobham, way back in the early 70s, with his release, "A Funky Thide of Sings".....

Great LP.
 
Ya'll need to go to Naw'lins! Jazz everywhere, the entire Bourban Street area rings of jazz, on the streets, in the bars, Jazz. I love all genres of Jazz.
