Another A-2 Paint Job

I just received a Cooper A-2 I won on eBay... I must say, although I was really wanting an A-2 made by Cooper, I am kind of disappointed with it... I like the darker seal brown color leather more than the Cooper jackets which are more brown. It's a good jacket don't get me wrong... and at $50 with the shipping, I didn't get too bad of a deal....

But anyways, I am going to have it painted up as a B-17 that my grandfather flew just one or two missions on...

"Miss B Haven".... the original in his squadron had no nose art so I am going to design my own... I am thinking about his particular Vargas girl... Tell me what you think... I think it is PG enough so I do not get someone screaming at me about being "Politically Correct" about having a topless girl on my jacket...

:wavey:I think "Miss B Haven," is going to make a mighty nice jacket. You're alittle too young to be hard of hearing, so I would suggest, a big smile and ear plugs :d Mighty nice...

Witt,
I know a man here in Norfolk named George Kozemczak who was crewman in a B-17 named Miss B Haven. There were a number of Forts with that name, in various spellings. George's plane was shot down and he spent the rest of the war as a POW. He showed me a pic of the plane once and it had no nose art, just the name - could've been the same bird your Grandpa flew in. :)

TARPSbird, you know what bomb group he belonged to by chance?
No I don't. I used to see George occasionally at the American Legion post when he'd stop by for a beer but our paths haven't crossed lately and his phone# is unlisted. Let me try to contact him by mail and I'll get some details for you. :)
