Another Grass Strip!

Looked This Up

Islandsim is offering a three airport package including WV31 which is this Cheat Island Airport. It is NOT in Prepar3D V4.5. It skips from WV30 to WV32 for whatever reason. So, Ed, have at it! LOL! I created a real grass strip on the farm my friend's Super Cub is stored at in West Virginia.

Extremely Disappointing

It is really disappointing to see beautiful scenery made for MSFS like this one just released by Parallel 42 and they actually just finished a fly-in with 16 participants here. Last year I created Cox Lane Field which is a private strip that my friend has his real Super Cub stored at and flies in and out of. I selected a fictional designation WV82 so that I could create it and use it. I created all the buildings from scratch to match photos he gave me. It is 131 miles from Cheat River Island as the crow flies or the Cessna. I just posted it in the Warbirds Library. Didn't realize that I hadn't shared it.

I purchased quite a few of their Pacific Island Scenery packages and I think I might have even purchased the Appalachia package as well (many years ago). I did check the photos they have for the set and the images they show for Cheat River are not of the airport I did. Theirs is located along the edge of Cheat River but the airport I did is on Cheat River Island and has only one hangar, not the larger hangers their photos depict.

Also WV31 is actually the ICAO code for Pratt Mining Airport in Lewisburg, WV.

I have done some searching for Grass Strip Airfields in West Virginia and came up with a few more to add (not all grass strips tho), so when those are complete I'll upload as a set of West Virginia airports.
