Another Multiplay question

I know this has probably been asked to death, but does anybody ever play online together ? (multiplayer) :jump::jump::jump::jump::icon_lol:
I would like to play against real people for a change.
If I host games and post my IP would anyone even join?:applause:
I know of one person that would. But more would be nice.


And that being said, Does anyone have directions for multiplayer????
I need to know chat keys, how to restart after landing, can you start from airbases and land at airbases to complete a dogfight ? Stuff like that. Any help would be appreciated.
 
I don't play OFF on-line, but I've had my ears open quite a bit

Vista = Forget any CFS3 Based Game online

Both machines ( assuming two ) MUST be identical matches... ie....Basic OFF

Contact the Boys of 60 Squadron ( if they're still around ) they fly OFF cooperative missions

Used to have a STICKY about online garbage , , , used to have alot of things :costumes:
 
for some reason

off phase 2 can be played online with vista.

we are waiting phase 3 befor we fly off online

all of the boy's of 60 flights are posted on our own forume now.

PD i understand that multiplay is possible, but as far as i heard it was limited to smaller numbers (compared to RedBaron) , and only a kind of co-operation against an enemy (?). So several people join a multiplayer session, choose a side, and then fly together aginst the other ?

So my question is: Cana group of people fly for the Entente, and another group for the Central powers, against one another ?

Since the Microsoft Server for CFS3, has been killed as a cost cutter, I don't see how :kilroy:

WE DO IT ON A DAILY BASIS/ IT'S CALLED IP TO IP AND ILL POST A HOW TO IF I EVER HAVE TIME TO COME UP FOR AIR.
IL-2 QUESTIONS AND NEW MEMBER'S ON MY FORUME HAVE ME WISHING I HAD A SECRETARY:costumes::costumes:.

Online dogfight

It's possible to play online player vs player but the biggest challenge is to reach all player at the right time.

I really enjoy MP dogfight and know a couple of persons here who like it too but the best way to reach them is to post here.

I'm playing IL-2 with the boys of 60 for now but I'll surely reinstall OFF shortly.

OK so just to be clear. All I would like to do is host a game, have people join using my IP, and do some dog fighting. Is this possible??? Doesn't have to be co-ops or anything just dogfights. Does the in game multiplayer work.
 
If in multiplayer you die, do you start again at airfields or in the air. If you land at your airbase how do you respawn????

I would like to host dogfight missions for hours at a time. I might not be playing all the time but I'll leave the game running for everyone else. Is that possible?:ques:
 
Have them join your ip

AND HOST THE DOGFIGHT. DO NOT GO TO THE MICROSOFT SERVER.
HOST A PRIVATE GAME AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE GAME ALLOWED IN WINDOWS FIREWALL.

I have some problems with my computer settings in IL-2 and I don't think I'll be able to play with the boys of 60 until I change my computer.

So I'm reinstalling OFF right now and should be able to play it tomorrow. So if you still want to try MP dogfighting, you can send me a private message to tell me when you can join me online related to GMT or with your location. We would try it 1vs1 to start and set everything and when everything would be ok, we would be ready to look for other players. I know a couple on my side but don't have talked to them since summer.

About your questions, in a dogfight, when you die, you can revive and change your aircraft if you want. In a mission (COOP or Player vs Player) when you die, you can respawn in another friendly plane. The number of respawn you can do is limited by the number of friendly planes in the sky.

It can be really cool to have a server running OFF 24/24 since M$ close the cfs3 server but I don't think it can be really useful because there's not enough players for OFF online. Maybe after the release of Phase3...

Well I'll work on it right away. I just need a little tutorial on multplyr. Not too sure of all commands. I did alot w Il-2. Was sooo easy. This is a little different.:icon_lol: But I'll get on it. by the way I'm in New York State. Eastern Standered Time. I'll most likely start a multiplyr around 7:00 on week nights and all day on weekends. atleast till phase 3 is out. then multiplyr might be easier.(wishful thinking) Thats one thing that makes IL-2 so awsome. Online is so easy. Mission building is so easy. I like being able to create missions from within the game. Create them then click fly. thats the way to do it.
