Another release from Ted Cook

Looks like someone took parts of a CH-34 Choctaw and a Whitley bomber and duct taped them together. I LOVE IT!

Four 'Pobjoys' flying (almost backwards) in close formation.
WHAT were they thinking .....................................:friday:
Another fine piece of work by Ted.
:applause:

Ahhhh....with a really stiff headwind....we could get'er to fly backwards.....couldn't we.......

.....Neat. Thanks Ted.

When I fire up the GAL 38, I get a really annoying beep beep sound...what is it, how can I get rid of it?

OBIO

OBIO,
You'll probably have to edit the panel and add one of the "audio panel" gauges so that you can silence the offending IDENT beeper. I usually use the one from the Bendix-King set (same one as used in the light GA stockers).
Or...load up another plane that has it installed, turn the audio IDENT off and then switch back.

(This is if that's what the beeping noise it...I suspect it is but I haven't booted up the FS rig to check this new bird out.)

And a big thanks to Ted for another british oddity!

That might be it...if so, how do I get it to SHUT UP!

OBIO, probably not the answer you want, on the left side of the virtual panel there is a switch that says Flight (on top) Ground (on bottom)..switch it to ground when not preparing for flight

Sorry OBIO this is my oversight (laziness) - I just amended an existing aircraft.cfg' file and missed this setting.

What you are hearing is the NAV1 beacon. You can get rid of the morse by re-tuning Nav1 and the standby frequency.

A more permenant solution is to amend the aircraft.cfg file - [Radios] section thus:-

[Radios]
// Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1 = 0
Com.1 = 1, 1
Nav.1 = 0,0,0 // replacing 1, 1, 0
Adf.1 = 0
Transponder.1 = 1
Marker.1 = 0

Regards, Ted.

Ted,

Thanks for the plane (well, for all the planes you have done for the simming community) and for the giving me the fix to get rid of that annoying beepity beepity beep thing...I was having panic attacks thinking I was about to get run over by the Road Runner.

Works ok in FSX landed in moving carriers without a hook and static carriers with a headwind on still with no hook, nice job
