another unfinished project

I uploaded another one of my unfinished projects. It's a Polikarpov Po-2, the most built aircraft worldwide.
I started this project in 2004 and made some changes over the years.
It's avaible at flightsim.com. Please look for polikpo2.zip.
There are included 4 different models ( a light night bomber aircraft and 3 different East German aircraft, but the differences are very small) and some different paints, so Soviet and North Korean night bombers, a Turkish airplane (the Polikarpov was the first aircraft bought by the Turkish Air League THK) and 3 East Germans.
There are some unmapped parts, the skid doesn't work properly (it's animated, but I couldn't get any succes withe the compression and damping ratio in the aircraft.cfg, so I set it to zero), and the pedals are missing. I included some gauges, most of them were made by wishmaster.

Happy Landings

Thank you Ralf. I am always impressed by your work whether it is finished or not. :ernae:

Thank you Ralf :applause: This is a beautiful aircraft you have here.

FYI, for those who have trouble keeping the engine running at idle, this statement change in the GeneralEngineData section helped me:

min_throttle_limit = .1

I also tweaked the static pitch to improve the load angle:

static_pitch = 9.7

Great model Ralph!

Yep, it does appear to be a very nice model, but with a max speed of only 85mph, it won't be one I download. . .too slow. I did some checking on the background of this airplane and it is considered by many experts to be the most produced military aircraft ever with around 20,000 built prior to a production halt in the late 40's. . .pretty impressive numbers.

During WW2, women pilots in the Russian Air Force (VVS) used the PO-2 with much success in night bombing. They would fly low and slow, then climb to altitude, kill the engine and glide to the target, drop their bombs, fire up and "zoom" away. The Germans never knew they were about to get clobbered.
