Another Vega 5B repaint - comnig soon

Hi good people,

There is a "super tricky" livery about to be released - the Standard Oil, STANAVO Eagle lviery. This one has a "HAND PAINTED" eagle spread across many parts of the aircraft.

As many might know the Default Microsoft Vega 5B is not one of the most friendly ones to repaint with lots of warping, mirror mapping and mapping overlays to contend with.

The STANAVO livery was indeed an arduous challenge - but I think I beat it :wiggle:

Picture of the almost finished repaint - couple of minor things to be done and she should be ready for download by Sunday night.

Thanks mate,

She was a great graphical challenge that was just demanding to be done for the Vega 5B.

The reference photos (in black and white) looked like someone had painted the eagle onto the aircraft with a 4 inch paint brush. Doing a very unique and creative rendition of an eagle onto the overall scheme of the aircraft.

Duplicating this creative hand painted job for the simulator version of the aircraft was very time consuming but I hope that I have captured the creative artwork done by the livery creator and have achieved reasonable justice to his original work.

Should be released very soon.
