an't find my CFS3 ETO Expansion BDP Zapper.exe

BeauBrummie

Home for tea and tiffin!
I've searched the ETO Expansion folder until I'm going cross eyed, but I can't find it. I had one once as I have a shorcut to it set up a while back. It is in the main ETO folder isn't it? Or am I losing it?

Beau

Yes, it's in the main folder. If you look at the folders in "details" view (top to bottom) it is right below the ETO EXPANSION icon folder. About half-way down the list. The zapper has the standard ETO icon to its left.

Hi Jeff,

no your not going mad mate, certain virus programs have all of a sudden taken a disliking to the BDP zapper and the Bakup exe files.

see this thread as a recent discussion on the subject.

I have uploaded the missing file to the ETO ftp site for you to grab if you like. (in my folder zip file called ETO zapper and backup exe files.zip)

I set my antivirus to ignore these files and all seems well again, no disappearing files.

or you can do it the manual way for bdp file zapping. (see my last post in the thread linked above.

regards Rob.

Got them Rob. thanks very much mate. It set my virus scan to ignore these. Blimey with my memory I was begining to wonder if those nice men in the white coats were around the corner.:ernae:

Oh dear Panda didn't like that. It had a right sulk when I insisted the files were excluded.

:kilroy:Guys,

I'm gonna say it again.

There is no virus. It's a false positive.

It seems that all of these AV programs these days are getting touchier when it comes to *.bat files.

You have to tell your AV programs to either ignore those files, or tell them not to check *.bat files.:d

Hi Len,

sorry mate you cant get to this site, its the ETO development ftp site.

but if you PM me your email address I'll zip them and send them to you.

regards Rob.

PS Mike, if you do the same I'll send it to you as well.

I'll also organise for a backup set of files to be loaded to the aussie x server so people can re-download the files in question should this happen again.

All your other d/ls work.
