New An-2 by OctopusG (creators of the Wilga and the L-13).
Not sure what advantages there will be to owning this one over the existing Sibwings model, but it looks like development has picked up since November.

Wow! Look at those cockpit shots, hard to tell if it's FS or actual pics of the real thing.

I have to agree, I don't know what the advantage would be to buy this if you already have the Sibwings model, which is excellent.

Same here and I would think maybe price. . .if this one falls below what the Sibwings version is. . .also I think the Sibwings version has a cockpit that's weathered and worn a lot more than this one.

It would be nice if they include optional bitmaps for the panel(s) written in English.

looks interesting but I think I'll stick to my Sibwings version unless there's a major selling point that sets it a couple bars higher than the other

Sibwings at least actual Russian development team that were very close to the Antonov An-2 in real life. To develop a perfectly 100% realistic simulation you must speak Russian, or have tons of translators available... Simply all the technical documentation you can't read unless you know Russian... And find people experienced with the type? Well...

Reasons like this probably why mayor payware developers in the west do not try with Russian planes. If somebody wants to try, I will not be against but it will be a mayor challenge. Instead of building a new An-2, it would have been better to make a Let Turbolet L-410, this type has translated documentation for almost everything.

I agree, the FS9 version of the LET-410 was really quite well done and I was able to get it working in FSX, but now that I've gone to P3D completely. . .it's unusable. An updated version would have been great.

I haven't seen a single An-2 as clean as that. The SW version is much more true to the An-2 pits I have sat in... :)

Let's wait and see how this airplane will turn out, of course the clean cockpit is a bit unrealistic for the Antonov 2 but if I was flying an aircraft in real life I would very much prefer it be clean than getting greasy and sooty, the traincabs here are already bad enough, imagine a 50 year old plane!
