Ants Trojan in P3D

Anyone flying Ants T-28 in the latest P3D? I have the retail version of this superb airplane and have trouble with my Saitek throttle / Warthog combo. The throttle jumps around erratically, the prop also, and the mixture does not function at all. At one time also the Warthogs elevator and aileron axis went south, and the mouse berserk (even after P3D eventually ctd-d, requiring a system restart. That happened after I tried to correct the behaviour in FSUIPC.

This is the only aircraft in my hangar that shows such phenomena.

Does that sound familiar to anyone?

Cheers,
Mark

I have the Ant's T-28C and I just reinstalled it in my P3D 3.3.5.
Everything was fine during my test flight. The only problem was remembering how to start it, but the instructions in the "manual" (SHIFT+4) were helpful :)
And I forgot how fine that model was...

I should add that I do not use the payware version of FSUIPC, I only have the unregistered version.
Also, my joystick is pretty simple, just one throttle on it.

Thanks for the infos, guys. Maybe my installation is bad, I think I copied it just over when I did a vanilla install on my P3D. I'll reinstall it!

And I concur, Ant did a great job on it. The bump mapping is also one of the finest I have seen yet.

Cheers,
Mark

My notes on this plane say that I had to configure my TPM controls in the configuration pop-up window(Shift+4). After that it worked fine.
Sorry if that's no help
Dave

I re-installed it, no joy. Somehow it doesn't like my setup.

@Dave: Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try tonight!

Cheers,
Mark

Hey Dave,

many thanks for that hint! That was it! The prop and mixture of the Saitek throttle quadrant have to be set to Method #2 in the shift+4 control menu. Then it works as it should. You made my day!

Cheers,
Mark

PS: Ants T-28 is a masterpiece. What a wealth of functions that are hidden in the shift+4 configuration menu!

Mark , some how I knew you and Dave would come up with the solution . I was going to chime in here earlier as I have Ant's excellent T-28 working very well in P3Dv3.3.5 using an old CH Products F-16 Combat Stick . Your right , Ant's T-28 is a masterpiece !

It is indeed Mark. I have the whole series and they look and work great in P3D. Glad you sorted it. Have you tried the night lighting?

Awesome! Never tried night lighting (you don't fly at night in Laos :) )!

As a little tribute to the great Job Ant has done on the T-28, here are a few Trojans captured at our recent trip to Oshkosh Airventure. There were at least eight T-28 there, and they flew every day.
