Any CFS2 Search-Light scenery objects floating around?

MaskRider

Hi Guys,

Anyone ever seen any search-light scenery objects floating around for CFS2?

Don't care if they are static api macros or dynamic scenery objects. Don't care if they switch on and off. They just need to look like search lights. The kind that might be used for illuminating beaches at night.

Like those mounted aboard ships.

Thanks
MR

They only person that I knew that was messing with lights was BloodHawk years ago for a lighthouse but I could be wrong.

MaskRider,
in my archieves I found and API Macro "slight". But I am too stupid to attach it.
Are there any other means to send it to you???

Chris,

Are you looking for this? I don't know how you could change the mounting angle, but...:dizzy:

Hi Chris
Just sent to you. Hope you like the searchlight, it's a low poly model. ambulance to show scale.
Just a static GSL object, No lights or animations.
I can scale, just let me know the height. This one stands in about 3m tall.

Hi Guys!

Thanks very much to everyone. I am just getting around to checking the replies and am thrilled to see the response!

I'm sure one or both of these will do.

I need the search-light for the Betio Island scenery layout I am working on. Several of the maps I am using as a guide show search lights placed at several locations around the island.

Cheers,
MR

MaskRider,
I have send you my API Macro vie e-mail.
Cheers
Achim

Thanks Achim. I didn't get your email. I checked in my spam folder and it isn't there. I have sent you my correct email addy via PM just to make sure you have the right one. Thanks.

Hi Guys.

Robert, I think your search-light fits the bill very nicely. Hate to be a choosy beggar but maybe just a hair larger- 25% bigger say? Thanks very much for taking the time. That was really nice of you.

Rami, thanks a bunch. inf_search appears to be a beam of light that can be adjusted to whatever angle one wants. Its shows as a white disk on the ground with a transparent beam of light coming up from it. There doesn't seem to be a visible searchlight object associated with it. I don't really need the beam and was looking more for the visible searchlight itself. But, thanks!

A few screenies:

Cheers,

The searchlight is about 3m high as is so I will put it on a 1.5m platform.

Ran across this picture of an American GI looking at a destroyed Japanese searchlight on Betio Island.

No need to change a thing Robert! Your searchlight are fine. Just thought I would post the image.

I found it, interestingly enough, while searching for images of latrines on Betio.
