Hi guys, is there any French amongst us that are familiar with airfields around 1940, if so I'd love to have a chat with you.

not me!!!!, but Paris is wonderful!!!!!!! and Nize too.....good luck with your airfields.....

Hi
Yes, I'm French, but I'm more familiar with navy stuff like carriers (for example) than airfield.
But may be I can help you to find the right people?
Regards,
Sylvain

Hi sparouty,

Basically what I'm looking for is a typical location Ideally a forward operating base / makeshift airfield a particular aircraft flew from. Any contact leads would be highly appreciated.

Hi,
Ok I'm gonna ask around for an WWII "Armée de l'Air" specialist!

I can't wait for having more information about this "particular aircraft", I love your Hellcat (especially the one with anchor on its roundels), I'm sure this next one will be beautiful too !:jump:

Regards
Sylvain

PS: btw may I ask you to consider a little enhancement for the F6F5: a variation without the glossy-reflection map for all the F6F5 who had an operational life and were very weathered (like the French ones) :kilroy:

Thanks Sparouty,

Unfortunately at this time the team is currently working flat out on 3 upcoming titles, its possible that we may look into this when we're closing the 3rd title.

Hi Dean,

I'm Pierre. I have still some friends in the french air force and some specially in the historical department. Sylvain told me that you are looking for some information. Please let us know if we can help.
Cheers from Paris
Pierre

Hi Dean,

not yet, I'm quite often far from my PC. I'll send you private message.
Cheers from Paris
