Any modern Japanese airbase scenery around

ian elliot

SOH-CM-2024
Although my Cloud9 Phantom is probably my favorite fast jet ride these days, i dont fly the Japanese scheme'd models as much as i should, has anyone any recommendations for modern airbase scenery from that part of the world, there's quite alot civil airfields over at Flightsim and a few Afcads i could add buildings to, but if anyone knows some ive missed.
cheers ian

Ah, grasshopper, you need to look further afield....and remember that there are shared
airfields/airports to look for:

Chitose, Nagoya/Komaki,Nyutabaru,Yonago (and a few others) here; don't worry the fs2002
sceneries work perfectly in '04 ------->

Akeno (JGSDF, bit tight for a F4!) here --->

http://fsx.o.oo7.jp/

(clicky the fs2004 banner, then scroll down the left frame. (Also some nice cityscapes)

Hammamatsu here ----->

Komatsu is at flightsim.com, or here ---->

and finally, there's a copy of Gifu Aero around, It's not available on the developers site anymore (he closed his FS interest) but I'm sure someone here could send it via e-mail (not me this week,I'm away from home)

Do you know what are the passwords for the rar files of Syonai and Sado sceneries? (if they are freeware) Here: http://www.flightinfo.jp/higechan/ ( Third button from left in the upper left corner of the window and then the first and second choise in the next window) My Japanese is a bit rosty :icon_lol: .

So is mine,I can just about remember Heian Nidan!!
I use google's in-built translator....however...
looks like both Syonai and Sado are payware you have to e-mail for a password,downloads are .exe files btw @ 115Mb each.

-----> e-mail request page ----> http://www.flightinfo.jp/higechan/kounyu/kounyu.htm

downloads

-----> http://www.flightinfo.jp/higechan/kounyu/sado_setup.exe

hope this helps

Hi Ian

There is a new repaint of the Cloud9 phantom just released on the same website as your original repaint.

Regards Paul Day.

I wish that the talented Japanese repainters for the CORAL F-15's did some of the same liveries for the IRIS versions, those Japanese repaints are top-notch! Mike :wavey:

Good evening everyone!
I need some help: I have downloaded the last japanese repaints for the cloud9 phantom (ADTW 301 and 336 available at http://www.flightinfo.jp/pom/ ) and installed them the rignt way but all I get when trying to load these phantoms in FS is a CTD!
Any idea?
Best regards

Stéph.

PS: FYI, I have also installed the black and yellow repaint from this site and this one works very well...

The texture extension?
Not DXT3 depths are saved!

Hi Zsolt!
The BMP files in these repaints have the same properties as the black and yellow repaint, I don't really know where the problem comes from... :ques:

Hi Zsolt!
After some investigations, I found out that the CTD problem comes from the Cloud9 phantom itself!
The trouble is I can't find any reason why...
I have the MB339 by Cloud9 and it stil works very well!
Any idea?
Cheers

Stéph.

Hi Stéph,

I'm Sorry but I have no idea :-(

Regards,

Zsolt

Problem solved!
I did a re-install of the phantom, I also installed the latest version of FSUIPC (3.98) and everything went back to normal... :jump:
It sounds as if it was an antivirus + bglman.dll "misunderstanding"... :salute:
