Any more lefties out there ???

Not sure what stick you are using Lefty, but you might want to take a look at the Saitek ST290 PRO. It can be set up for left or right hand use, has a twist grip for rudder input. Pretty comfortable stick to use. And priced pretty well...below $30 the last time I looked...got mine on sale for $25 not long after it came out.

I'm left handed, but it doesn't bug me. In real life, most aircraft I fly have yokes with center mounted throttles. This of course means that I fly with my left hand. I've always flown flight sim with my right hand, and I now have access to higher performance sporty aircraft in real life with center sticks and left side throttles.

It just doesn't matter to me anymore. Left hand, right hand, left seat, right seat....it's all the same.

I also play guitar right handed after I recieved some awesome advice from a great guitar teacher when I was eleven.

only left hander in my family and was the only left hander in me class at primary school ... learnt through necesaty to use my right hand as well ... :kilroy:

I suppose I'm lucky, I'm almost completely ambidextrous although there are a few things that I "prefer" doing with either side.

I wouldn't be anything else BUT Left handed ... there is about only one thing I do right handed and that's usually because thats the side of the stall the paper is on. :bump:

(not entirely true, I shoot long guns right handed too.)

I'm actually right handed....but did not want Lefty to feel all alone. Thankfully, the rest of you odd balls have crawled out into the light of day and I am now off the hook.

See ya!

I shoot guns (pistols, rifles, shotguns) left-handed, mainly because I'm very left-eyed too .

Most other sports, including archery, I play right-handed. Right-footed, too.

Just a mixed-up kid. Re the joysticks - the Saitek looks like my old Cyborg rehashed - currently use an AV8R - complex enough for me. Saitek went a long way towards catering for lefties, then blew it with their later stuff.
Curious thing is, Bill Gates is left-handed, but Microsoft refuse to acknowledge our existence !

Oh, and, er, I would shave left-handed - if it wasn't for my BEARD !!!:jump:

I'm another southpaw. Not much of any ambidextrous skills either...if I can't do something with my left hand it's not gonna be pretty. Although when I'm doing stuff on the computer, my right hand does 90% of the keyboard work and the left one seldoms leaves the mouse or digitizer pen.

I use a Saitek Cyborg Evo, which has about the same layout as that ST90 that OBIO mentioned.
But the one that really peeves me is all those "ergonomic" mice and trackballs that work great if your right-handed but there is no physical way that you can contort your left mitt around to use em comfortably.

I'm a lefty, though I do most things with the right hand. Besides writing and drawing. Got a little ambidextrous in me. I have even been working on using both hands when drawing or painting. My right hand gets bored.

In the old'n times they used to kill left handed children. More recently left handers were forced to use their right hands in school so they would be considered "normal".

Now, lefties are a commodity in most sports.

I'm also a lefty. I do everything left-handed except anything that involves swinging (baseball bat, golf club). I can't even hold a bat or club left-handed. Oh, and I play guitar right-handed.

Shooting, bowling, throwing a baseball or football are all left-handed.

You're a lot like I am. Pretty much everything I do is from the "right" (as in correct) side except for archery and golf. Those I learned how to do right-handed because lefty bows and golf clubs are few and far between...not to mention spendy because most of em are custom.

I can weak-hand a pistol with my right hand but I better be close and that's only with a LOT of practice!

I got in a lot of trouble during the first grade in school as I was left handed and had to learn to write right handed to keep from getting a ruler across my knuckles. As a result, I tend to do somethings left handed and others right handed. I'm left eye dominant so I shoot long guns left handed but I shoot a pistol right handed using my left eye. Probably why I prefer a lever action rifle as they work with no fuss left handed.

And of course everyone knows the old saying ....

If the left hand side of the brain controls the right hand side of the body, then left handed people are the only ones in their right minds!

:ernae:

Ambidextrous. Left hand eats, writes, but that's pretty much it. Most everything else is right handed.

I do have the not uncommon problem of ambidextrous people, my tongue gets twisted when trying to talk, lol.

Flying doesn't seem to care which hand I use, for stick or throttle.
