As some may know from that other forum; I've been away in USA for work again; this time round got to visit the Frontiers of Flight Museum
at KDAL (Love Field, Dallas) and spent an hour in the company of Capt Charles D Mohrle; for an elderly chap (90+) he's very entertaining; and passed on his flying tips for the P-47.

Does anyone know if the paint has been done for either the WoP or Aeroplane Heaven 'razorback'
artwork can be found here ---> http://wing.chez-alice.fr/USAAF/405th_FG/Pilots_&_Nose_Arts_510th_FS.html if anyone interested.

I'd be glad to do it for you... but I need the textures of this particular model..
You can see my work on either my side or my various postings here in the FSP discussion fori.

(the site is ancient... lol and has not been redone in quite a while... but I am working on it)

Hi Pete,

Epsillon and JanKees did quite some repaints for this model, which are available in the archive here at the SOH. However they may be difficult to locate as there are no thumbnails any more.

Cheers,
Huub

Thanks Huub;

I found it in the archive for FSX here --> http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/page.php?lloc=downloads&loc=downloads&page=info&FileID=15116

but it won't download; clicking download spits me back to forums page?

If I can get it downloaded I can take a look with dxtbmp and see if it will work in fs9.

Loverly photo Andy, im hoping to meet that new Duxford P47 this Sunday, she's not flying but im hoping she'll be wheel'd out of the hanger to be view'd in the October sunshine, ive just got to get my car back from having its water pump replaced in time :mixedsmi:
cheers ian

Ian, if you do manage to get up there (and I'm jealous btw, not managed to get to Duxfrd for a few years now) & you get the opportunity, lots of pics of this bird would be appreciated; if I can get enough decent images of the artwork I might be tempted to have a crack at it myself. :)

Pete the WOP III and orginal WOP have a different texture lay-out so the textures won't work.

Sorry,
Huub

Just got back from Dux, great time but the 47 was in quite a state of undress im afraid so no great pics.
im guessing she'll be worked on over winter and get her first flight at Flying Legends, ive already decided to give RIAT a miss next year and go to Dux instead :jump:View attachment 50172View attachment 50173
