• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Anybody Have this happen reinstalling FSX ?

I reinstalled FSX on my new computer tonight. Everything went fine until I tried to activate it. Got a message that says I have activated the product to many times and have to activate it by phone. Has anybody ever gotten this before is it legit or what ? I got a good product code hell its in the original box, I paid for it. I ain't no thief.
 
Call Microsoft, they will reset it for you, no charge.

In your FSX folder is a text file, Phone Activation.xml.

Use it to access the correct number, if you just call the regular Microsoft support you will not get any help.

Yes happens occasionally. No problem call the number above and it is all handled by automatic responses they will issue you a new serial no all done through the touch tone. I understand that MS wipe the database periodically (I heard 6 monthly) and this is why users can sometimes reinstall many times over extended periods without issue.
Given the age of FSX I'm amazed they even bother any more.
