Just curious how many here fly only FS2002. We have an upcoming FS2004 release and I will convert it to an FS2002 version if the demand is here.

Thanks

Hey Milt,

Betcha thought I'd slipped off into the sunset, but yet here I am still flapping my tired ol' FS2002 wings.:redfire:

I'd be much obliged if y'all could take a wee bit o' time and spit out one for the Gipper.:applause::applause:

Have FS2002 on one computer, FS2004 on the other; and use FSHost so that my son and I (and maybe others later) can fly together.

-Thanks in advance;
James

hey Milton, is this for that converted Beechcraft w/ the huge canon in the nose? Sorry, i forget the exact model number ;P

i'm sure everyone is very exited for it...for both FS9 and FS2002!

*edit* Oh nevermind...i just saw the updated images in the Grizzly thread. Looks amazing!

Yes ... I will be preparing an FS2002 version and one for an easier CFS2 conversion. Also, I look forward to someone in the CFS3 forum to take her to that level.

Hi Milt,

I fly FS2002 alot, it is still a GREAT sim, I look forward to your conversion to FS8..I wish you would create the Lockheed 14 Zepher for FS8/9 I still fly Mr Dome's Zephry from 2000 in FS8

Cheers

Casey

Besides flight testing it for FS2002, I will also be happy to help you with the XML guages. I found that some variables they call are for FS2004 only, and need to changed to work with both. That, and making sure the Flight Dynamics are good is what I did with my "Early Fairchild Series."

Someone the other day said something about 'another sim', comparing it to an earlier FS version, and I thought.. 'thats a compliment! I like that version! lol... '

I am going to hunt down FS2002 and reload it. That thing was great. I really fell in love with flying all over again on that one. I loved the Concorde flights through Europe, doing the Heathrow to Malpensa run. Awesome fun...

Thanks for the drive down memory lane Milton!

I just made the first pass at the FS2002 conversion. All I can say is "Swe-e-e-e-e-t!!!" :jump:

I have two more changes to make and I think the model will be ready.

Obviously the xml gauges are an issue but the lights, suspension, control surfaces, effects, ground handling, flight envelope, all look really good. I love how she flies in FS2002 ... smooth as silk. :applause:

rac,
Good to see you're still wingin' it :)

C'mon Milton - quit teasing and share already!:jump:

There'll be no wine before it's time. [/whine] :)

Hey, I just finished exporting five models to FS2002 ... everything is looking great BUT the panels and gauges. Someone will have their work cut out for them. :isadizzy:

Are the guages built into the model? If so, changing them will be difficult; otherwise, they may probably just need some variable changes and other XML work.

-James

James, Scott Thomas who has always done our gauge and panel work, has been doing it for 10 years (since FS98). We have not yet discussed FS2002 versions so I'm not yet sure what he wishes to do. He has a busy schedule and may not have the time to convert them. If that is the case, then alternatives would have to be found. I will try to determine that this week. :wiggle:

Thanks for the input.

I must revise my earlier comment about the xml gauges. They ALL work great in FS2002! :jump: I had failed to place them in the Gauges folder from the panel folder. My bad!

As a matter of fact, after the prerequisite changes, EVERYTHING looks and works as it should in FS2002. :ernae:

Happens all the time; the guages will work in the panel folder in FS2004; but not in FS2002.

That is great news! Looking forward to seeing it. Thanks again for your efforts.

Check the downloads, Boys, the FS2002 version is out!
