Anybody seen a shooting star?

I was doing a spot of night flying (a rare occurrence) and noticed two shooting stars streak across the sky. I was flying over Oman. I have never seen that before is FSX or P3D, has anybody else?

I have not seen it, but google reveals many have. Apparently shooting stars and Auroras have been in the FS Engine since at least FS9.

Like you, I don't fly that much at night, but I would love to see one.
