Been trying to create a legacy of the CFS series. Played CFS 1 for a long time many years ago, but that was in win XP. Still play CFS2 and really been into CFS3 since it came out. Have 11 installs of CFS3, and 2 CFS2 installs. Forgot much about the Golden Age of the original. Any help ? would be most appreciated. Regards,Scott

I've it running on Win7 32bit, for I do not have Win7 64bit, so I can't be of any help I suppose. On 32bit it runs ok.

Thanks Hertzie for replying. Got it running fine with the flight stick ,just the nagging fast spinning aircraft in the view section. Don't know if there is a fix for that.

What joy ! Just realized that simviation still has tons of stuff for CFS1 still ! Let the fun begin ! Reliving the "Golden Era" ! I feel young again ! Lol ! One question How do i take screenshots in CFS ?

Could not be of help with the Windows 7 issue. The only currently running CFS machine I have is a Windows 2000.
As for screenshots, look for a key in your row of function keys marked "Prt Sc" or something similar.
When you press that key, it grabs whatever is on your screen and puts it into the "clip board".
On some computers, you might need to hit the Shift key to get to the Print Screen function.
You can then paste the contents of that clip board image into whatever image processor you like.
Ideally you want something that will handle JPG or PNG formats to save in a fairly small file size.

I am kinda primitive. On the Windows 2000 box, I have very limited tools, so I just paste into MS Paint and save as BMP.
That makes for a HUGE file size, so I take it to another machine to convert to JPG file format and it brings the file size down from about 2.3 MB to about 300 K.

I have hundreds of aircraft downloads for CFS if there is something in particular you are looking for.

Thank you Sir. Good to know. Having to learn all this stuff for CFS all over again. Been many years since I got into the original in the CFS series. Been into CFS3 for over 20 years. Loved MSCFS when it just was first released back in 1998,then CFS2 for a long while, but when CFS3 came out and the mods started to be done I was hooked ever since. Now I'm back trying to form a Legacy collection of the series, since I am unable to fly them at the moment because of a neurological problem. At least I can still type. See a specialist on January 6th for the muscle control issue. There is always hope I can recover. These flight simulator people are some of the best people I know, and am grateful. Regards, Scott.

Hello Sixstrings,
Hope you can recover and fly again.
Let me know if there is something you are looking for and I will see if I have it in my downloads.

- Ivan.
