Anyone familiar with the Garmin 296 GPS?

Hello all

Is anyone here familiar with (or ideally owns and so can check) the Garmin 296 GPS?

I'd like to know a couple of things about it please to help me make a nice FSX gauge.

1. What are the steps in the zoom levels? The manual says it goes from 20ft to 800NM in 28 steps. I'd like to know what each of those steps are as shown on the 296 Map Zoom Range. For example, from looking at the pics in the manual I can see some of the steps are 2NM, 5NM, 12NM and 30NM, I need to know what the other ones are. Now FSX can only zoom in as far as 100ft so that's as far in as I can go but I can zoom out to 800NM.

2. This relates to the first question, at what zoom levels do the display of things such as small airports, large airports, intersections, navaids and airspace boundaries kick in. For example, do small airports start being displayed at zoom of 12NM or 30NM or something else?

Thanking you all in advance
