As my European heritage is Finnish I have to say I really like this:

I know they are Metal and my son could tell me exactly what subgenre so I probably wouldn't care for most of their music but I like this one. I'm a country music guy. It was like Star Trek meets rock! I think this song would be an absolute "hit" on the bridge of a Klingon Bird of Prey!

I cannot find an adjective to describe her. "Bubbly" fits but bubbly does not go with that accent. Where on earth is that accent from? I must admit I like the accent but to be honest I don't know how much future she has as I haven't seen anything else by her that would show all her singing ability. Entertaining I must admit.

Anybody who actually watched the show could you post a youtube or two of who her competition was?

But seriously, with this contest I always had the strange feeling that it offered those a chance who were too bad, not yet good enough or even no good at all for the serious commercial pop-biz. A loser-show! A little fun for the evening musical freakshow to put it a bit harsh. Never liked it at all.

And "our" (not mine really) victory seemd to me like: "oh those poor germans didn´t win for a long long time, c´mon let´s give them a chance this year, they will be happy..." And they are: 40000 people welcomed her on her arrival at the airport. I would take a bet any time you won´t get 40000 germans on the street here even if our civil rights would be abandoned! Enough...I´m losing myself! I always seem to observe the germans have a high esteem for frank mediocrity and simple minds (not the band), like these protagonists of our national footbal team, aaaargh!:isadizzy:

German is for anything but (serious) music.

Oooops! I think germans look a lot better with a slight touch of sophistication! And it suits them fine to use the german language instead of hopeless english!
