Hey chaps,

Scott has been busy running around the US again to gather research, footage, sounds and first hand and pilot experience of various flying machines in search of furthering the accu-sim technology.

In this video you will see the legend that is the B-17 as Scott videos for you on one of many trips.

Bless you! You guys are SAINTS!

hehehe, I'm just kidding, but you don't know how happy this makes me. I LOVE B-17's. I got to take a flight on the Sentimental Journey- absolutely INCREDIBLE! I think I have permanent hearing loss- and the No.3 engine was smoking the whole flight :ernae:

WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!
Absolutely felt like I was there

Thank you so very much for sharing this fantastic video
Rick

Lewis, thanks to you and Scott for a great video and for preserving a very important part of our heratige. That is one of the best B17s in action videos I have ever seen.

Thanks again and keep up the good work. Scott I envy you and your job.

The cockpit looks a little busier that our WWII brethren , this one i'm really looking forward to the update ! :applause:

You mean shared cockpit? No, it doesn't work. Unfortunately this feature doesn't have any documentation in FSX SDK and by default works only with simple aircraft that use standard FSX systems. Making it to work with accusim would be very expensive, if possible at all.

A "normal" multiplayer with each player in his own airplane works without any problems.

Thanks for the great video of a great plane. Interesting to see these grandfatherly types coordinate their efforts in starting and flying the beast. Was particularly impressed to see two hands, one from each pilot, adjusting the throttle on takeoff.

Both of them did it so in case of them chickened out at the last minute the other was there to make sure they got off the runway! :)

Just kidding ... I've seen period video showing the same thing ... don't remember reading anything in documentation stating SOP

We are having talks as to if it is possible to include a modern varient Ian.
Hmm , that may bring the younger simmer in , shes already a brilliant and fun one to fly , thinking .. old TV series .. Twelve 'O' clock high , Roger Freeman's books .. course B17 at War , id stick with the period of the 8th and the forties .... A2A , as real as it gets ! :medals:

Must have missed him here
that is the 8th air force museum isnt it?
great video

I've heard some complaints recently about the price of full accu-sim aircraft, but considering funds going to A2A are being returned directly to us via this kind of research and production, I don't see how such complaints are warranted.

As a side note there was a B-17 in town last weekend, saw it flying around and wondered what the deal was, then later on I found out they were giving rides rides for $485. Man I can't beleive I missed out on that. :(

EDIT: It was the Liberty Belle.

Henry I believe the airport by me here in long island. The announcer in the beginning sounds like ours at the American Air Power Museum at Republic airport. I wish I had known Scott was out here I would have liked to have met up and discussed some things. A ride in a B-17 is well worth the 475 buckaroos in my opinion. So much so I have done it 5 times now over the years.

I will be making sure my card is charged up for when this comes out for sure. I think both their B-17s, WoP and WoPII versions are great. Now this will be even better. Will you be able to exercise the turbos in this? Its going to be cool adjusting the inter-coolers and them having a effect now.
