• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

April 25th 1915

Huzzah! It's only been in my adult years that I've "discovered" and been enjoying the history of WWI.

It's a new - and better - way to remember the day of my heart attack 12 years ago!

We salute you.:salute:

I marched with the guys from my old unit, the Airfield Defence Association. It was great to see a few faces from my section in Vietnam going strong but sad to realise how our numbers are dwindling.
The crowd attending the Brisbane march was magnificent and brought a lump to my throat.
So different to that homecoming in 1971

A Pitance of Time

While I usually post this on Memorial Day, this is probably a good day for it too, even if a bit late and not actually November the 11th. The spirit is the same and honors the fallen and those who stepped forward in time of need.
