Arsenal VG-33

Hi guys !

I like CFS3 since its release. I am French and I rarely intervene because I speak very bad english. I consider that the Sim-outhouse's community for CFS3 is lively, very interesting and constructive.
I would like to draw your attention to a french fighter who did not have the opportunity to show his potential during the WW2 but which was built to 50 copies. I think it is missing in our simulator while it exists in CFS2, IL-2 and other simulators. I'm talking about the Arsenal VG-33. Here are some links that talk about it and some screenshots. I think this would be a great addition to CFS3 if someone could create this great plane for our community.

From Simviation's site http://simviation.com/cfs2aircraft109.htm :

The Arsenal VG 33 was a fast light fighter which arrived too late to see service in the Armée de l'Air during the Battle of France . While somewhat underarmed compared to the Messerschmitt Bf 109 the VG-33 matched it in speed and maneuverability and was somewhat faster than the Dewoitine D.520 . In larger quantities this plane could have shown the Luftwaffe a rough time but as was the case for most French planes production problems plagued the VG-33 such that only 160 aircraft were close to completion before the Armistice with just 19 of 44 produced actually taken on by the Armée de l'Air.

This along with a number of other good French designs would have been available in large numbers had the invasion taken place in 1941 instead of 1940 and probably would have given the Germans a great deal of trouble. Of course the army's battle plans probably still would have had there roots in the 1914-1918 war and the open door through the low countries would probably have still been there so the outcome might not have been much different, but as a what-if scenario it could be interesting.

Yeah, cool plane but too much work for me in the foreseeable future.

not sure how good the cfs2 model is as its described as 'low-poly' and does not load into modelconverterx easily(i have not tried very hard though)

there is also a blender source available by Helijah at https://www.cgtrader.com/free-3d-models/aircraft/historic/arsenal-vg-33 . Looks like a lot of work to create a decent cfs3 plane from this as it is a staged model with no VC.

Good Luck!
