AS / Virtavia SAAB Draken Paintkit

Hi all.

I purchased the Draken several years ago, and if I remeber correctly there was a paintkit for it and I cant find it on the AS freeware site.
Does anyone know where i can get it?

I also have the payware Alpha Draken and I didn't see a paint kit included in the zip file. Not real sure if Virtavia planned to include one or not when they made the Draken a freebie either. I don't think one exists, unless someone made one seperate from the initial download.

Alphasim never included a paintkit in the release versions of any product!
all paintkits were seperate after market downloads (I cant remember a paintkit for the Draken)

This is not true.
I remember the C130 and the viggen both included paintkits, and so did the Draken. The paintkit download was always positioned in the lower part of the download screen.
This is way back, maybe 2005 or something.

you are right ;)


The Download page was structured that way:
Model and default textures (initial Download)
Paintkit Some included additional models (Phantom)

Moment the C130 had a paintkit originally? It was never inluded when it becomes freeware

Good news!! Thanks for the update.

Not to slight the Alpha Draken any... it's a superb model. The Bookmark Draken is also excellent and very unique in it's operation in FS9. During the development of the Bookmark model, I did some fictional repaints for version 3.1 in RAAF livery. One was a bare metal scheme and the other was a grey-green camo paint. They actually came out really nice considering I am a lousy painter. I have them on a CD somewhere, I don't think they will fit the version 3.2 model however. :~(

The bookmark is great and as a swede I fly it alot. the paintkit though has some limitations within the mapping for photoreal paints. (atleast harder to paint). This is why the AS Draken was a good substitute.
