Does anybody know if the astronomical calendar is correct in CFS3? Are the sunrise time/moonrise time/moon phase, etc. accurate for the historical dates?

In case anyone was interested in the question I posted I looked up sunrise/sunset/moon phase data on the internet and compared them to dates and times I programmed into missions and it appeared to correlate.

I'm trying to put together some Intruder missions and wanted to time them with the bright moon periods. I think I got that part down but the other details are difficult.

Just bumping this one in case anyone knows the answer.

Flying the Dam Busters mission, the night of 16th/17th May 1943 should be a full moon (moonfull.dds), but CFS3 is showing it as the 1st quarter (moonwxgb.dds).

Is this hard-coded? I can't find any files that relate to it other than the .dds images.

Edit:

It looks like cfs3 is correct, BUT, its using only 7 textures to display the 12 moon phases. If I set the date in the mission to the 20th May, it displays the full moon. Cfs3 is using the next texture along for anything other than a full moon.

I might have a play with the textures.

So is the full moon texture used only once per lunar cycle in CFS3? Or does it start on the full moon and show until the start of the next phase?
