At long last, the legendary Sea King to be developed......

VERY disappointed in the developers who abandon FS2020. This is the second aircraft I would get in a millesecond that is now touted for fs2024 only. I refuse to jump into 2024 when 2020 is just fine and still actively for sale in the market. I suggest the moderators remove this thread from the FS2020 section of the site. It is no longer valid for many of us.... Unless TAOG makes another announcement to give hope to the forgotten.

I agree, it is very unfortunate indeed that they are abandoning a platform barely 5 years old when it has a lot of life left in it. I will be honest, with that prevailing decision, I am getting closer to the end of my MS flight sim days anyway considering how I have less time for it nowadays. They're catering more and more towards the Xbox crowd with watered down attention to realism in many models which that crowd just wants video game toys. I predict that this old hobby is nearing its end as we've known it. Sorry to sound negative but it is what it is.

I decided when 2024 was released that I would keep BOTH versions. I have more than enough hard drive space, plus for reasons like this only being released for 2024. I dumped my FSX/P3D stuff years ago (the graphics of 2020/24 spoiled me!) NC

I completely understand why some don't want to make the move, but I haven't run MSFS2020 once since I installed 2024. 2024 has its issues, no doubt, but IMO it is far superior in many ways to 2020 - chiefly, performance on my rig is MUCH better than 2020 ever was.

I'm very much looking forward to the Sea King, and I noticed that they have a Dauphin on the way, too. Happy days.

Based on reports about MSFS SU4 beta at Avsim, I think I'll be moving to the new sim permanently very soon. The Sea King will be near the top of my shopping list.

The Sea King and Dauphin (Dolphin) might push me over the edge to re-install 2024. Sure would like it for 2020, tho'.

Still waiting on 2024 to mature as I waited on 2020, but as mentioned this would be the 2nd Taog product I'm missing (H500/OH-6). I spend the majority of my MSFS time in helos.
