I am running a I7,1 gig 4870 and Vista 64. Ive tinkered with every setting there is for years but never tried wide tent. I was always told it really sucked in every way. Ive never read a good post about it.
Well I have been running it the last few days and my picture has never been clearer. Alot less jaggies, tree and building shimmering are gone.
Wide tent 4-AF 8.Disable a.i.-adaptive AA off-triple buffering
My cat version is the last one not the latest. dx9
32 inch LG lcd

Hmmmmmmm

What is wide tent? Never heard of it...Got a link or any more info??

Thanks

I see now...Thanks for that...

Never noticed it before as I have no AA problems with FSX to speak of ...

I tried it, I have an ATi 4850, cannot say I noticed any difference either in diplay quality nor fps,

I run FSx on two machines..

A very expensive home build with a 4870X2 that struggels with stuttering on FSX due to the graphics card

And a fast cheap box with a Saphire 3850 that runs FSX flawless..

Both boxes have no AA or AF problems though

Thanks for the tip! I tried it last night with FSX and 99.9% of the shimmering is gone. It may have eliminated microstutters too. I'm gonna try it with some other games and see if it made a difference.
