• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

A tweak we discovered that addressed the stutters in P2. Might be of some use to those suffering issues in P3.

You don't need a checkmark in the targeting cone section or intro movie section. Those were just personal preferences of mine. Do try shoving a checkmark in ALL index and vertex buffer sections (4 in total) and shove one in the Z-buffer as well.

You can also try running without a checkmark in Z-buffer. It seemed to work wonders on my ATI X1950XTX.

No promises gents......but at this point, anything should be worth a try.

Well, I found out that with my Nvidia 9800GTX the 'Disable Write-Only Vertex-Buffers' and 'Disable Write-Only Index' buffers need to remain unchecked or else the trees and houses would flash (switch on and off) like mad.

I know this is about ATI cards but I think it should be noted somewhere that graphics settings are very dependent on hardware.
 
I have used this tweak since P2 and it was one of the first things I set up on P3. It's amazing how much it helps.
