Yes, the 509th Composite Group markings were rather dull, but I've always rather dug the arrow-in-circle tail marking on their aircraft pre-atomic missions. So I'm thinking of quickly whipping up another skin set for our freeware B-29. And before anyone points it out, I know applying such skins to a B-29 with turrets is not actually accurate, but I've already done it with Lovely Leta, so what the heck.
However, I have a question: Bocks Car is inevitably show with nose art depicting Nagasaki which assuredly was not on the plane when it flew that mission as the actual target was not assured before takeoff, and The Great Artiste was originally going to be the bomb carrier. I feel like I read somewhere that Bocks Car's nose art was added after the mission. I'd like to think that it at least had the main art but not the 'Salt Lake to Nagasaki' motif, but I want to depict it as accurately as possible. Anyone know what she looked like on her historic mission?
